Chemistry of EVA

Our controlled release EVA polymers meet the polarity, solubility and barrier properties many products require. VitalDose excipients are highly biocompatible, stable and display excellent resistance to tissue growth. Moreover, they can be processed at low temperatures using a variety of manufacturing methods.

The properties of VitalDose EVA-based excipients depend on two primary parameters – VA content and molecular weight.

  • VA content can vary from 6% to 40% in EVA
  • At a given VA content you can vary the molecular weight of the material to achieve the desired rheological properties (i.e. melt index).
